About Me
AC Thompson has an inner drive, some call an annoying obsession, to see the world accurately. However, at times this has been perceived as being argumentative and stubborn. AC would not necessarily argue the “stubborn” description (thereby proving the point), but would prefer to use the word “tenacious”!
AC has spent the last 20+ years working with humans to help them get productivity out of the impersonal computers. He has worked on websites, programs, conducted training seminars and classes, mentored other programmers and even has had a stint at being a pointy haired boss. He finds it amusing to say “Mac is better” to a Microsoft group as well as other sayings, “Microsoft is your friend”, “VB is more productive than C”, “VB programmers aren’t real programmers” depending on when he get can get the best reaction (usually dramatic!).
Along the way he has acquired a wife, a daughter and a couple of boys. The 3 children are in their teenage years. He would strongly advise anyone who is approaching a similar scenario to start storing emotional energy immediately. That reserve energy will come in handy to handle the drama that can erupt so quickly. It is during these times that he is quite amazed his parents allowed him to see the age of 18.
AC is a recovering Ever Quest™ addict and hence one of the reasons for starting this web presence. He wants to reclaim his life from this time consuming addiction and start living a life that is a bit better than what is was the previous year. Along the way he hopes to help a few others to enjoy and embrace the life they have through introspection and observation.
